Welcome to my studio, where you are safe to be yourself, to be seen AND heard! I love helping singers explore their unique sound in a natural way, using techniques based in breath support, articulation, and projection. Beginners to advanced are all welcome.
I've been teaching since 1998, bringing years of experience as a professional jazz, classical, and contemporary singer, an actor, writer and theatre maker and also as a counsellor, Reiki practitioner and Qigong teacher.
We can delve into various music styles together, including acoustic singing, microphone techniques, and assistance for voices in transition.
It's my passion working with people who want to move beyond any sense of struggle, who are keen to gain confidence, increase their knowledge of music and want to really enjoy their experience of singing.
Open House
Open House creates inclusive, music-led nights designed to feel welcoming, well-run and connected.
From high-energy DJ sets and themed nights, to our unique “quiz that thinks it’s a party” events, we specialise in bringing people together through good music and great atmosphere.
Based on the Isle of Wight, Open House is available for venue takeovers, private parties and community events — always tailored to the space and the crowd.

Proud Mary is a high-energy, old-school drag queen hailing from the sunny Isle of Wight. With nearly a decade of experience under her sequined belt, she's taken her fierce and fabulous performances across the UK - most notably headlining the Isle of Wight Pride Launch Night in 2017.
After spending years lighting up stages in London, Proud Mary has returned to her island roots and is now available for birthdays, weddings, hen and stag parties, and all kinds of celebrations that need a touch of sparkle and sass.

Our staff network is open to all employees of the IW NHS Trust who identify as LGBTQ+ and our Allies.
We meet bi-monthly to discuss the issues that matter to us, organise events, offer peer support and a safe space: we extend a warm welcome to all new members!
The Network is supported by two Co-Chairs and an Executive Lead Sponsor to ensure we have a voice that counts across the organisation, and that our LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies experience inclusivity.

I’m fully accredited as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with the BABCP and am about to qualify in Interpersonal Psychotherapy. I’ve worked in mental health for the past 10 years. I began my career as a support worker before completing my social work masters in 2016. I was a social worker in Manchester for 5 years before retraining as a psychotherapist during the pandemic. I am also the founder of the National NHS Talking Therapies LGBTQ+ Champions network and the chair of the British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapy LGBTQ+ Special Interest Group.
